Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. Dr Lawson can offer CBT based therapy as well as more compassion based third wave approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Victoria is trained to deliver EMDR, a NICE guideline approved treatment approach for PTSD.
Having been a Senior Clinician in a Children and Young Person's Mental Health Team she can see both young people and adults impacted by trauma.
Dr Lawson is trained integratively, meaning she can draw upon a range of evidence based therapeutic models to best suit your needs and goals.
She has found this blended approach helpful for people who are struggling to cope with changes and transitions in life. These adverse experiences can be caused by health difficulties, bereavement, relationship challenges or significant life transitions.
